This is the XL
I originally saw this bivvy on the NGT online site. I had seen the fortress bivvy, but wasn't too keen on another pram type bivvy. The NGT pictures really don't do it's justice. I'm 5ft 6in, and I can stand up and don't hit my head on anything except the door way. It's very wide. Making it bigger than fortress. Length not much of difference. Putting it together. I found by doing the following it be a lot easier to put up. If you have help it be good too. 1, connect the ribs together,.you have 3 arches. 2, connect the 3 ground straps. This will give you the shape. 3, put up the middle and front peak poles on before standing up the bivvy. Specially if you doing this on your own. 4, now stand the bivvy up. Adjust the back pole and peg it first. 5, pull the bivvy forward as you do stretch it out make sure the Y is stretched on both sides. And then peg it down. Continue to peg the other side. Then peg the door way. 6, do a walk around you may need to adjust or stretch out the bottom . Repeg if needs be. 7, put the ground sheet in. Look for the red Velcro tab it's the middle for the back of the bivvy. When I did my ground sheet I covered the ground straps. Don't want to be tripping on them ,on a run. Other features, there is a hook for lights of anything you want. Would been better on the middle instead of the back of the bivvy. This would be a great 3 season bivvy. But would not recommend for winter. The front area is nice to stay under without actually being in the bivvy. Also has 2 Velcro straps for rods.
